Kate worked for two years at the CSU Chico Psychological Counseling and Wellness Center while finishing her master's degree. After graduation, she moved back to the Bay Area for three years and worked with children and their families at two agencies: Eastfield Ming Quong and Community Solutions. When Kate returned to Chico, she worked for the Paradise Unified School District while finishing her 3000 hours for licensure. Kate has been in private practice since 2005 and enjoys working with children, teens, and adults to help them improve the quality of their lives.

Marriage and Family Therapy is a second career for me. Originally I was a medical transcriptionist until my path took a sharp turn with the diagnosis of breast cancer. From that challenging experience I have been able to enter into a field of work that I truly love. I have had the privilege to provide therapy for children, adolescents and adults whose issues are related to trauma, grief, foster care, sexual and physical abuse, as well as anxiety and depression. I accept a sliding scale, Victim Witness. Although I am a Preferred Provider for Blue Shield, I also accept out of network reimbursement.
